Let me begin by explaining that my objective with these guides is to short cut your skill development. I have no formal art qualifications, but what I do have is years of experience creating art as a novice and, through hard work and persistence, developing my skill set to be able to create art that people want to buy or I get satisfaction from producing. I also seem to have a natural affinity with charcoal and pastel and how to manipulate them, which has made my charcoal art popular and sought after. I now class myself therefore as a mixed media artist. I still have a passion for watercolour and acrylics though and regularly undertake commissions in both mediums for clients.
