Jamie Ballard is a British stage and screen actor best known for portraying the adult Harry Potter in the West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at London’s Palace Theatre, a role he played multiple times, including after the show’s COVID-19 hiatus in 2021. Trained at the Bristol Theater school and cut his teeth with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), he has an extensive theatre background, including performances in Shakespearean works like Richard II (as the title character in a 2020 audio drama) and Macbeth (his American stage debut as the lead in a 2024 candlelit adaptation at The Curtain in Jersey City).
Jamie Ballard Jamie as Macbeth Harry Potter
Jamie Ballard made his American stage debut as Macbeth in a critically acclaimed, intimate, candlelit production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth that ran from September 26 to November 3, 2024, at The Curtain, a 65-seat theater in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Key details about the production and Ballards performance.
Reviewers praised Ballard’s performance as powerful, psychologically layered, and vocally commanding.
The New York Times called it “a gripping Macbeth anchored by Jamie Ballard’s riveting performance,” highlighting how the candlelight made every flicker of doubt and paranoia visible on his face.
• Particular praise went to his descent into madness — the “tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow” speech delivered in near-darkness as candles were progressively extinguished was described as haunting.
Creating the Eyecon Jamie Ballard

As with my other works in the MyEyecon series I have added a few pro tips and suggestions which I hope you will find interesting and informative.
When Jamie met Charlie.
I always start with the eye, sometimes it helps to take a number of close up photos of the eye to establish the reference points.

Its always useful to use images that ensure the eyes are open and the subject is relaxed.
Here Jamie is relaxing with his partner Charlotte East, also an actor but now a playwrite and producer with her new play "The King Stone" about to go on release across the UK in the following theaters :-
Stafford Gatehouse 19th Feb to 24th Feb
Nottingham Playhouse, 26th to 28th February
The Curve Leicester 19th to 21st February
Derby Theater 8th March

Jamie's Plans for 2026

Jamie will be joining the cast of Henry V at the Royal Shakespeare Company Stratford from the 14th March 2026.
