About Art-Club
The Objective
Art-Club is for any artist who is looking to join a community of like minded creators. The objectives are simple to offer different entry points and groups that enhance your creative interests. We are starting with just four groups at first. Art-Club Free, Art-Club Pro, Art Business Club and our latest Art-Club Junior but more will follow as required.
To join any of the groups all you need to do is register your details. Art-Club keeps all of its members informed with regular updates, news and details of posts in your group. That's why we ask you to sign up.
This Group is free to join, you just need to sign up so members of the group can communicate with you and you can receive posts and view artworks posted by the group for comment and guidance.
Art-Club Junior is a new starter club for Parents. Yes that’s correct, it's basically a Mums’ & Dads' Club. You post on behalf of your children (ages 2–10), and every style is celebrated—from scribbles to masterpieces and yes you can brag a little. When you share, please include your child’s age and a short caption about what they created. Please keep comments positive and supportive so every little artist feels proud. Invite another parent who’d enjoy sharing their child’s creativity too!
Children usually start to make art very early — often around 12 to 18 months, when they begin scribbling and experimenting with marks. More recognizable drawings typically appear around age 3 to 4, and more realistic art develops later, around 8 to 9 years old.
Typical stages
• 15 months to 2.5 years: random scribbling.
• 2 to 3 years: more controlled scribbling and line-making.
• 3 to 5 years: pictures of objects or people start to appear.
• 4 years: drawings become more purposeful and recognizable.
• 8 to 9 years: art becomes more realistic and detailed.
This is a private group and membership costs just £5 per month. The Group includes more features including the opportunity to join multiple groups, start your own group, invite members and organise events. Building on our mandate of artists helping artists Art-Club Pro also includes ArtCritiqueClub.
Artists who subject their work to regular review and critique develop faster and there is the added bonus the members of Art-Club Pro are able to display their art in the ArtyArts Gallery without the need for selection. All they need to do is submit three works to the group for critique. Within Art-Club Pro the critique section ensures clarity and informed helpful guidance which any discerning artist will value. This is particularly useful for self taught artists, fine art students and graduates. We all need a review occasionally to refine our skills and where better than within a pier group of like minded individuals whose judgement we can trust.
This is a private group but membership is still free. Members must apply to join to maintain the confidentiality of its content. The club provides curated one on one business help and guidance on all matters business. When appropriate members will be provided with a private communication channel.
From budgeting, profit and loss, cash flow even to reviews of studio rent documentation. Staffed by retired senior executives with board room experience if you are looking for business guidance that you didn't get at college or university why not join?
